The 137th session of the China Import and Export Fair

Guangzhou, May 6, 2025 (Xinhua) — The 137th session of the China Import and Export Fair, also known as the Canton Fair, concluded last Monday in Guangdong Province, southern China. Organizers announced that over 288,000 foreign buyers attended the event.

This figure represents a 17.3% increase compared to the previous session, setting a new record. Among them, 171,750 visitors were attending the fair for the first time. A total of 187,450 buyers came from countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, marking a 17.4% year-on-year increase, and accounting for 64.9% of all foreign buyers.

Additionally, the event attracted more than 527,000 online buyers from 229 countries and regions around the world.

A total of 4.55 million exhibits were showcased, including:

• 1.02 million new products

• 880,000 green and low-carbon products

• 320,000 smart products

For the first time, a Service Robots Zone was introduced, becoming a highlight of the fair. 46 Chinese companies showcased over 500 advanced robots, covering 60 industrial applications.
