Chen Chuandong Attends Handover Ceremony for Chinese Humanitarian Aid to Lebanon

On May 4, Chen Chuandong attended a handover ceremony for humanitarian aid provided by the Chinese government. He signed the delivery certificate at the Port of Beirut together with Bassam Nabulsi. Haneen Sayed and other officials were also present.

Ambassador Chen stated that China has urgently supplied humanitarian assistance to help ease Lebanon’s ongoing crisis. He noted that this support reflects the long-standing friendship between the two countries and demonstrates China’s commitment to promoting a shared future for humanity and advancing global development initiatives. He reaffirmed that China firmly supports Lebanon in safeguarding its sovereignty, security, stability, and unity, and will continue to provide assistance within its capacity.

Minister Sayed and Secretary-General Nabulsi expressed sincere gratitude for China’s timely and generous aid, emphasizing that it once again proves China is a reliable and trusted partner for Lebanon.
